A Rare Copper-Red 'Dragon and Phoenix' Moonflask. Jiaqing Seal Mark And Period. Photo Sotheby's

painted to each side with a dragon and phoenix amidst peony blossoms and leafy branches around a central raised boss with a 'flaming pearl', the spreading foot and sides decorated with similar peony scrolls below ruyi suspending tassels, the cylindrical neck flanked by dragon-scroll handles, seal mark in underglaze blue. Height 7 1/8 in., 18 cm. Estimation: 20,000 - 30,000 USD - Lot.
