A spectacular and magnificent yellow gold, diamond, emerald, ruby, white and black mother-of-pearl, rock crystal, rose quartz and agate mystery clock circa 1990 mvt 81001s/001 case 640997
key-wound jeweled lever movement, housed within the stepped black mother-of-pearl base to the pavilion • rock crystal dial with gold and diamond-set bezel, decorative gold and diamond, ruby and emerald hands • fitted within a rectangular gold and black mother-of-pearl case, ruby and emerald flower motifs, the inner case itself set within a larger rock crystal case with chamfered corners, the pavilion with four twisted gold columns, supporting the fluted-shaped rose quartz roof, surmounted by a rock crystal fluted dome and topped by a gold, pearl and carved emerald, the dome surrounded by a gold balustrading set with diamonds, rubies and emeralds, to one side of the pavilion is a walking agate elephant, draped in gold, ruby and carved emerald ceremonial decoration, bone tusks, with emerald eyes, the pavilion and elephant resting on a large, stepped base of rose quartz and gold • base signed and numbered; height 26 cm, width 35 cm.
