Extraordinarily good kept winter robe, evenly padded, fine light silk lining; the emborideries worked with polychrome unthread silk and couched gold threads. Good condition. L. 137 cm. Estimate 6000/8000 €
Property of the former German counselor Dr. Joachim Schulze (1880-1954), who was living in China from 1907 to 1940, his stays being only shortly interrupted by trips to the Phillippines and Java. He did his military service in Qingdao and lived mostly in the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Harbin and Changsha.
