An Iznik polychrome pottery dish with quadrupeds, Turkey, 17th century

of deep round form with everted rim, decorated in underglaze blue, green, brown and bole red with dark green outlines, decorated with a dog chasing a deer and a doe between stylised vegetation, remnants of old collection label to underside, one drill to the foot.

Provenance: Acquired in Alexandria, 1950s. 
In Switzerland by 1962. 
Thence by descent.
