A pair of Ming-style copper-red 'Three Fish' stemcups, Qing dynasty, Kangxi period. Photo Sotheby's

each with rounded bowl rising to an everted rim, supported on a tall solid splayed foot with a flat unglazed base, the exterior in copper-red with the silhouettes of three evenly spaced fish, each inscribed on the interior with an apocryphal six-character Xuande mark in underglaze blue within a double circle, wood stands (4). Height 3 5/8 in., 9.2 cm. Estimation 12,000 — 15,000. Lot vendu: 37,500 USD
