A Very Rare Blue And White Square 'Dragon' Jar, guan. Wanli Underglaze-Blue Six-Character Mark Within A Double Square And Of The Period (1573-1619). Photo Christie's Image Ltd 2012

The jar is decorated in vibrant shades of blue to each side, with a large five-clawed scaly dragon amongst precious objects, lotus blooms and stylised clouds above a crane and a pair of phoenix. All are below a band of pendant leaves to the shoulder and a band of scrolls to the neck. 7 5/8 in. (19.2 cm.) high - Estimate £150,000 - £200,000
