Pair of platinum, jade, colored stone and diamond clip-brooches, Cartier London. Photo Sotheby's

Centering two button-shaped jade cabochons measuring approximately 14.6 mm, within foliate surrounds set with baguette, old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 5.50 carats, further decorated with calibré-cut rubies and sapphires, both signed Cartier London; circa 1935. With signed and fitted box. Estimation 30,000 — 50,000 USD

These double clip-brooches from Cartier London are a variant of the famous tutti frutti coloring that the design firm utilized most notably during the Art Deco period. Centered by jade instead of emeralds, these designs are a prime example of the Eastern influences at the House of Cartier.
