The stylized vase supporting a stylized flower with long flexible stem, the flower petals embellished by 5 carved rubies, set throughout with 5 pear-shaped, 2 marquise-shaped, 90 round and single-cut, 17 square-cut, one light greenish-blue round, and 6 light brown and fancy colored yellow old European and single-cut diamonds approximately 4.90 cts., the reverse with a rectangular black dial, signed Gubelin, with maker's mark and French assay mark, no. 19337, circa 1925, approximately 18.6 dwts. gross. The stem/crown is not working. The black dial has minor spotting. Diamonds: H-I-J-mostly VS, several SI. Light greenish-blue diamond: .05 ct., SI, has not been tested. Fancy yellow diamonds: fancy to fancy vivid yellow, VS-SI, has not been tested. Carved rubies: deep vivid pinkish-red, cleanish, translucent, good polish. Good condition. Very well-made. 3 1/8 x 13/16". Estimate $5,000-7,000. Sold for $25,000
