The Chinese Works of Art Department in New York will be holding a four-session, two day sale of close to 400 lots. Building on the success of previous sales, we continue to offer property from private collections that have not been seen on the market for many years.  This season’s offerings include Yuan Fu Yi jue, An Important and Very Rare Bronze Ritual Wine Vessel from the Qing imperial collection;  a Rare Molded Blue and White Barbed Rim Dish, Yuan Dynasty, 14th Century; A Pair of Huanghuali Yokeback Armchairs, 17th Century, A Rare and Important Carved Zitan Armchair, Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period; A Rare and Impressive Pair of Cloisonné Enamel Censers and Covers, Qing Dynasty, 18th / 19th Century; A Celadon Jade Reticulated ‘Peony’ Censer and Cover, Qing Dynasty, 18th Century; and a collection of archaic jades.

The sale also includes Ming and Qing ceramics, a good selection of Buddhist and later Chinese bronzes, cloisonné, jade and rock crystal carvings, snuff bottles and scholars’ objects. Once again all categories of Chinese art are well-represented in this sale to be held on 18th and 19th March, held in conjunction with Asia Week New York, the sale promises to deliver some exciting moments.
