The bodhisattva is modelled wearing long flowing robes that open at the chest to reveal a wan symbol, seated invajrasana on a lotus throne which is supported by a tiered base decorated with floral scrolls. The face with downcast eyes bears a serene expression. The figure is covered in a soft celadon glaze, with the hands, face and chest reserved in the biscuit. 9 7/8 in. (25 cm.) high, wood stand
