The sides of the wine pot rise from a short stepped foot and the exterior of one side is carved with two flowering prunus branches beside the stylised scroll handle. The cover is attached to the handle with a loose-ring chain. The base is incised with an apochryphal seal mark which reads Qianlong nian zhi. 7½ in. (19 cm.) wide, wood stand
