The vase is painted to the exterior with flowering peony and prunus branches growing from a gnarled trunk, beside rocks, lingzhi sprigs and bamboo. There are several animated birds perched and flying amongst the branches which twist and extend around the sides and neck of the vase. 14 7/8 in. (37.9 cm.) high
