A 17th century gem-set, pearl and enamel brooch, earnings and a ring. Estimate £4,000 - 6,000 (€5,500 - 8,200). Photo: Bonhams.

1st: The brooch of tapered scrolling design, decorated with flowerheads and blue, white, pink and black enamel, accented by table-cut rubies and garnets, in foiled closed-back settings and seed pearls, suspending a 9.0mm pearl drop, 2nd: The pendent earrings surmounted by a striped enamel tulip, suspending a scrolling foliate enamel, seed pearl and table-cut ruby spacer, to a 8.6mm-9.5mm pearl drop with a blue, white and orange enamel cap, 3rd: The ring centrally set with a 7.9mm pearl, between trios of smaller pearls, the white enamel gallery delicately decorated with black enamel scrolling motifs, additional earring fittings provided, enamel loss, earrings composite, lengths: brooch 5.7cm, earring 6.7cm, ring size K½ (hoop off round) (3)

Accompanied by a report from the Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating that the four largest pearls were found to be natural, saltwater. Report number 5775-2119, dated 26th June 2015. The remaining pearls are untested.
