Each vase is of semi-flattened form and molded with two ring handles at the shoulders. Each is decorated with taotie masks and pendant blades in gold on a dark blue ground, with imitation encrustation in turquoise enamel on areas of the exterior, interior of the neck and the base. There are apocryphal Qianlong seal marks on the bases. 12 ¼ in. (31.1 cm.) high (2). Both: minor surface wear to extremities; retouching to the decorations. Estimation: USD 8,000 - 10,000
