The double-walled cylindrical cup is decorated on the reticulated diaper exterior with three recessed panels enclosing figures embellished with 'cold-painted' enamels and gilding. Fu lu shou('good fortune, wealth, longevity') characters in flaming pearls are applied between the panels. The base is inscribed with an apocryphal Xuande mark. 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm.) diam.
