A ruby-pink-enameled ovoid vase, 18th century

The vase has a broad body that tapers towards the foot and the slightly flared rim, and the exterior is covered in ruby-pink enamel. 5 5/8 in. (14.2 cm.) high.

Provenance: Mary Clark Thompson (1835-1923) Collection. 
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, accessioned in 1923.
