A large yellow-glazed incised vase, meiping, 18th-19th century

The body is incised with leafy lotus scroll and covered overall in a glaze of mustard-yellow color. The base is inscribed with an apocryphal Xuande mark. 14 ¼ in. (36.2 cm.) high.

Provenance: Mary Clark Thompson (1835-1923) Collection. 
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, accessioned in 1923.
